Going to college is often an event to which many young people look forward. These medications are also habit-forming, which means that a person who starts taking them could become addicted. While it may not seem dangerous to take a prescription medication, if you do not have the proper medical supervision, you could easily overdose and suffer side effects like liver failure, stroke or even a heart attack.
Other side effects that do not have to do with your health include the possibility of facing criminal charges. If a police officer finds you in possession of a prescription medication that does not belong to you, or if you are selling your medication, you could wind up in a serious legal predicament.
